Over half term, our students enjoyed four glorious days of skiing in the Dolomites, taking to perfect pistes under bright sunshine. And just when the trip had already reached new heights, the grand finale arrived: heavy snowfall sweeping in and wrapping Pampeago in a fresh white blanket!

Our main hall burst into colour and celebration on Tuesday as we welcomed the Lunar New Year in true City style. Students leapt between jianzi rallies, elegant calligraphy, intricate paper cutting, and a fiercely contested chopsticks challenge, all the while looking the part in traditional Chinese outfits. Alongside tea tasting, sweets, and an abundance of fortune cookies, it was impossible not to feel luckier following these joyous celebrations.
Yesterday’s Sing and Swing concert brought together an outstanding range of performances that truly jazzed up everyone’s evening. Our talented musicians took to the stage in style, ensuring the night never missed a beat and helping to raise nearly £2,000 for the bursary fund! From the smooth sway of ‘A Salute to Glenn Miller’ performed by the Swing Band, to Synchronicity’s bright burst with ‘Valerie’, and the soulful lift of ‘Just the Two of Us’ from the Jazz Group, this year’s programme kept the audience clapping and toe‑tapping from start to finish.
Our latest episode of City Voices explores how sustainability is embedded across our school.
Join Khaysha, our year 12 eco reps and Mr Kanwar, our Director of Sustainability, as they discuss exciting projects such as the Urban Farm, the school’s progress towards the City of London’s sustainability targets, and how students are taking an active role through eco initiatives and climate action.

We like to ‘Let It Go’ at the end of term here at City – and nothing says festive spirit quite like our annual staff panto. This year’s production of Frozen was nothing short of legendary, complete with our very own Sven hobbling about and an Olaf who melted hearts. A huge well done to everyone involved in bringing the magic to life, especially our sixth form charity committee. Thanks to your enthusiasm and questionable wig choices, we raised over £2000 in ticket sales for Young Shoots – a truly fantastic achievement.
In the latest episode of City Voices, Khaysha and Matilda sit down with Ms Golzarri, our International Coordinator and Head of Spanish, alongside year 13 students Lexi and Sriya, to share incredible stories of their time teaching in Guatemala. Matilda also reflects on her unforgettable exchange experience in New York. These stories demonstrate how our students are embracing global opportunities and becoming world ready, with skills that prepare them for life beyond the classroom.

The opening night of The Crucible was spellbinding - could Richard Eyre’s enchanting good luck message have cast the perfect charm? There’s still time to witness the magic for yourself - conjure your tickets via the link in our bio.
Over half term, our students swapped Barbican concrete for the concrete jungles of New York and the skylines of China, Japan and Canada. From tea ceremonies to ice hockey, Thanksgiving dinner to robot waiters, they proved that learning doesn’t just happen in the classroom, but all around the world!
