White Rabbit Drama Club

The Art & Props room has been a hive of activity for the past few weeks as we tackle our long form project - flying animal puppets. Some are finished and settling into their new homes while others are still awaiting the final beautiful touches with ribbons, feathers, paint pens and more coming out to play!

It’s all about the journey for us - the lessons you learn along the way will stay with you much longer than the finished product:
* patience
* resilience
* problem solving

But how exciting it is to meet these creatures at last and to see the children’s visions come to life - Cappybara bees and flying cats abound and we’re HERE FOR IT🪽🪽🪽🪽🪽🪽🪽

The groups have been busy playing together and sharing their thoughts on the showcase experience this week and it’s beautiful to see how strong their drama friendships have become and to hear 3 things repeated again and again across the clubs…

Year 1 were phenomenal at their first ever WRDC show today! As usual we were too absorbed in the action to take lots of photos, but the children and parents were let loose with the ‘Powerful Emperor’ capes after the performance and we hope they managed to capture some magical moments together.

Thank you to parents, grandparents and siblings who came along to support and celebrate the children’s achievements (and a big ‘thank you’ for being such good sports and acting as our ‘evil emperor’ for the big dragon finale - you lifted the scene to epic proportions).
