Jack Romero is a self-starter demonstrating a gritting determination for success. Having arrived in the UK without a bed to sleep in and only £90 in his pocket, Jack tenaciously and diligently worked on his passion for aviation.
Romero’s airline was subsequently sold for £30 million, and is a true testament to the power of believing in oneself, never giving up and how it is possible to overcome even the toughest of obstacles in order to fulfil a lifelong ambition. Consequently, his story has been broadcasted on national TV as part of the BBC’s My Story series.
Since his airline was sold to bmi in 2007, which in turn was bought back by British Airways in 2012 along with bmi for $276.2m (£175 million), Jack has developed a number of successful business interests both as a CEO and as an entrepreneur. His experience and knowledge coupled with his creative and inquisitive approach has proven to be beneficial to many organisations.

After having co-founded Symbian, one of the first successful mobile operating system and computing platform for smartphones, he became an independent researcher and full-time futurist speaker.
