A weekend making necklaces and windchimes, painting and drawing tattoos, and a trip to the library to sign up for the summer reading challenge. We experimented with different pens to see how we could make out drawings dance on water. We went to watch the prudential ride London, where we learnt more about charities and had a splash and scoot in the puddles.

We planted the top of our pineapple to see if roots would grow or if something would grow out of the top. We then used the blackberries we foraged yesterday to make an apple and blackberry crumble which we enjoyed with ice cream to cool us down! We went for a scooter ride to visit the horses and go for a bear hunt in the woods, where we discovered a trolls bridge and a river with crocodiles and sharks. We then went for a splash in the paddling pool to cool us down and a play in the park.

Day 6. A rainbow colour treasure hunt on our walk to the paddling pool, practising our jumps and holding our breath under the water. Playing in the park, running through open fields and jumping on mountains of mud. We foraged some blackberries on our way home to make apple and blackberry crumble tomorrow. Once home we kept cool by making some muddy puddles to jump in..apparently it was the best day ever!

A day making magic mud pies, trampoline pillow fights and attempting to make our own raisins. We then created rainbow paper caused by thin film interference which the children independently linked to the surface of bubbles! Another magical day at Little Einsteins!

Summer break is here! We walked (and scooted) to the park today but on our way the children got a little too hot so we diverted for the cool and breezy soft play instead. When it had cooled down we came back home for an afternoon of butterfly crafts talking again about symmetry. We then headed outside to have some bubbly water balloon fights on the trampoline to keep us cool, after some slippery gymnastics we practised writing in the foam and making bubbles with our limbs. A great day keeping cool!

Another glorious day out today enjoying nature at its finest. We fed the ducks and counted how many different types of birds were there. Pigeons, blackbirds, ducks and ducklings, geese, swans and cygnets, mallard and mandarin ducks and a heron. We again attempted fishing which the children adore, then headed for a play in the park and buried our feet in the sand pretending to be mermaids. We then made the most of the windy breeze thismorning by flying our kites, all are now worn out for an afternoon snooze..
