"I'm a seed, I'm a seed germinating, here is my sprout..."

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 brought their science learning to life by acting out the life cycle of a plant through their Concept Curriculum. They explored how seeds germinate, what plants need to grow, and how living things thrive in their habitats.

Some of the fastest young athletes in the country call Fidelis home. Congratulations to Kiki E and Katherine K, who represented Fidelis College as part of the ISA London South Team at the National Athletics Finals in Birmingham.

Competing against the very best athletes in England, Kiki finished the season ranked 4th nationally in the ISA 300m, while Katherine achieved an outstanding 7th place in the country in the 1500m despite competing against both Year 8 and Year 9 athletes!

A remarkable achievement and a testament to their dedication, discipline and hard work. We are incredibly proud of them both!

Years 1 and 2 have been exploring the communities they belong to and thinking about how they can play a positive role within them.

As part of their learning, they visited Crystal Palace Park and Farm, discovering the history of the local area, seeing where the Crystal Palace once stood, meeting the farm animals and, of course, visiting the famous dinosaurs!

Sixth Form should do more than prepare you for exams.

Today, we welcomed current Year 11 pupils and prospective students for our Sixth Form Induction Day, giving them a taste of an experience built around academic excellence, personal guidance and preparation for life beyond school.

From small class sizes and one-to-one mentoring to specialist careers support, enrichment, service and leadership opportunities, Fidelis Sixth Form is designed to help young people grow not only as scholars, but as responsible, confident adults ready to shape the world around them.

Today we were delighted to welcome pupils from The White House Preparatory School for the latest in our series of STEM masterclasses.

Led by our specialist teachers, the sessions challenged pupils to think carefully, ask questions and engage with science through hands-on investigation. We look forward to welcoming more local schools in the weeks ahead!

What a performance from Gabriel, Maia, Gabrielle and Sage at Battle for the Badge, an inter-schools Breaking and Hip Hop competition organised by B-Better. The team narrowly missed out on third place, finishing just two points behind the podium positions despite competing against dancers with years more experience.

A special mention to Sage, who stepped up to compete in the senior division despite still being classified as a junior.

Most importantly, they danced with courage, confidence and determination, enjoying every step of the way. An outstanding achievement. We are incredibly proud of you all.

The next chapter begins!

Congratulations to our Year 11 pupils, who have now completed their final GCSE examinations. Their resilience, perseverance and hard work have brought them to this milestone, and they should be incredibly proud of all they have achieved.

We now look forward to welcoming them to Sixth Form Induction Day as they begin preparing for the opportunities and challenges of A Level study.

The most important lesson of exam week came after the exams had finished.

Following their end-of-year examinations, Year 10 took part in a reflection workshop led by Dr Taylor, Deputy Head (Ethos).

Rather than focusing solely on results, pupils were encouraged to evaluate their habits, attitudes and approaches to revision, considering what they have learnt about themselves and how they can prepare effectively for the challenges of Year 11.

Because for Fidelians, excellence is a way of approaching work, relationships and life itself.

Congratulations to Year 11 Fidelian Morgan who is making a name for himself as one of the UK’s fastest athletes!

Morgan clocked a blisteringly fast 10.90 seconds over the 100m, ranking him 8th in the country for his age. An outstanding achievement, made even more impressive by the fact that he only joined an athletics club one year ago after being spotted by our spcialist PE teachers!

After an introduction to verbs, feelings and descriptive sentences, Year 5 & 6 have been revising "Los Medios de Transporte", strengthening their Spanish communication skills with the support of our native Spanish teachers.

Language learning is at its best when it is authentic, confident and spoken every day.
