Jack Petchey Regional Final

On Thursday 22nd January, QPCS hosted the Jack Petchey Speak Out Regional final. Given, L J’s fantastic win last year at the same event, QPCS had the honour of hosting, with L J MCing the whole evening! We welcomed several schools from the Brent area and 3 of our Year 10 students performed their speeches to an exceptionally high standard. Topics ranged from the dangers of environmental disaster pose, to unrequited friendships, to the importance of resilience in the face of adversity. Our speakers did the school proud. Quite fun meeting the Mayor of Brent too, Councillor Ryan Hack, who reminisced on his time completing the Jack Petchey challenge in Year 10 when he was at school. The evening was complemented by exceptional musical performances.
