Practically perfect in every way… ✨

At the end of term, Year 6 performed their socks off in their Mary Poppins production. A real team effort, with boys stepping in at the last minute for absent cast members, quick costume changes happening seamlessly backstage (and not a single zip breaking on any of the dresses!), and constant support for one another to ensure everyone had the right props at just the right moment.

The energy, resilience and camaraderie shown by the entire cast was something to be incredibly proud of.

Bravo, Year 6 – you were supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! 👏

Today, pupils from across our year groups with the most “Pluses” were treated to a very special reward – hot chocolate and treats with the Head ☕️

It was such a lovely chance to sit, chat and just enjoy each other’s company. Conversations ranged from holiday plans to dream destinations around the world… some very big ideas in the mix!

A really special way to end the term – and so well deserved. Brilliant boys 👏✨

Alumni on the national stage 🏉

Congratulations to “Old Lodgers” alumni Arthur Garfield, Jake Swinhoe and Benji Lee (2016–2021), who represented Epsom College 1st XV in the U18s National Cup Final against Northampton School for Boys at Allianz Twickenham yesterday.

A fantastic achievement - we are hugely proud of you all. 👏

to last week’s celebrations for World Book Day 📚
This year, pupils came dressed as interesting or challenging words, and the creativity on display was brilliant! From wonderfully obscure vocabulary to some truly imaginative interpretations, it was fantastic to see everyone embracing the spirit of words and reading.

Staff also got involved in the fun… and we have been reliably informed that Matron is now feeling much better and that her ‘contagion’ has cleared up nicely!

A big thank you as well to all the parents who we know probably lent a helping hand behind the scenes with some of the costumes.

From brilliant tries to clever teamwork, it’s been amazing to see their dedication and growth throughout the year. Huge congratulations to all who played - your skills, sportsmanship, and energy made the week unforgettable! 👏✨

Pleased to share a wonderful reel from the Dukes Education Cross Country Competition. With the mud only adding to the atmosphere and friendly rivalry, we were very proud of our boys’ efforts.

The Year 4s won their event and, overall, Broomwood achieved an impressive second-place whole-school finish 🙌🏆

“Mon dieu!” - some of the actors were heard to exclaim during Year 7’s immersive theatre performance of ‘Quelle Catastrophe’ last week.

The Broomwood gym was transformed into Chez Bizarre, the restaurant of a particularly hopeless owner, complete with eccentric chefs and wonderfully useless waiters. Guests were served a very “bizarre” menu alongside some truly appalling service - and, needless to say, it was a true catastrophe, with most customers (and staff) storming out!

Parents and staff thoroughly enjoyed the performance. Bravo to Year 7 for such a hilarious and memorable show! 🇫🇷✨

🎤 BB’s Got Talent – a Fantastic Final! 🎶

Our inaugural BB’s Got Talent Final took place last Friday – and wow, what a show! From singers and musicians to magicians and dancers, the range of talent across our BB community was incredible. Every boy performed brilliantly, making it such a fabulous end to our busy week.

The boys – and staff! – had great fun cheering on the performers. We’re certain this will become a much-loved annual tradition and look forward to next year!

A big thank you to Mrs Cooper for organising such a fantastic event, and to our honorary judges… can you spot who they were? 👀
