Anyone relate? When you’ve exhausted all possible words, but you’re left with the most powerful communicator of all.. the bare human voice.
This song will stick with me for a long time. Paper Thin was written almost 4 years ago now. Nearing the end of a painful break up. This ending is usually so cathartic to sing, although sometimes it’s hard to access that raw emotional part of the voice on demand. I can’t say I have successfully accessed it every time. You have to try to channel the emotions. Sometimes I try to remember how the fire in my belly felt at the time of writing. That volcanic explosion erupting out of you into a helpless cry.

Tom from contacted me a little while ago and asked me lots of questions about my song-writing process, musical and lyrical influences, what got me into the arts, my back-catalogue, and how the album came about.
Here’s a little glimpse of the conversation, but you can read the whole interview via the link in my bio.
