Small, humble and full of life... The Peace Garden community wouldn't exist if it wasn't for the efforts and shared hope for community togetherness and peace by those who have created and supported the Garden in our journey so far.

The team extend a huge thank you to everyone who joined us this week for the unveiling of the sculpted by the truly talented Andreas & Graham.

The dove, as the international symbol of not only boldly represents the presence & need for peace in our communities, by illuminating the presence & harms of weapons-violence in our communities... It also brings the core energy of as a symbolic collaboration of hope, solutions and goals.

The dove itself is welded metal work, formed largely by decommissioned (& blunted) knives & blades as seized from street and domestic crimes.
We will be telling you more about it over the coming weeks.

It’s a bright and sunny day... perfect weather for the unveiling of our new ‘Southwark Peace Dove’. Please join us from 3pm at Walworth Methodist Church for tea and coffee, speeches from the local community and to see our beautiful sculpture.
