Westminster Cathedral Choir School (WCCS) boys leave at 13+ (the end of Year 8 ) to progress to many of the country's leading senior schools, with a significant number securing prestigious scholarships and awards.

Picnic perfection.

Reception headed to Battersea Common for a delightful Teddy Bears' Picnic. From games to sharing treats with their favourite teddy bears, it was a day filled with fun, friendship and happy memories.

Year 8 hit the surf at St Ouen's Bay, showing plenty of determination, balance and enthusiasm as they took on the waves.

LUMINISCENCE at Westminster Cathedral

July 1st – September 12th.

Luminiscence is a ground-breaking take on the concept of son et lumière; a 360-degree video projection experience, using 24 laser projectors, which will bring the Cathedral to life in breath-taking ways with colour and imagery, culminating in a vision of what the Cathedral may one day look like fully covered in mosaics.

The experience is accompanied by carefully selected music accompanied by a recorded poetic narration by Hugh Bonneville, specially scripted for the Cathedral by Tim Whitnall.

Four nights a week (Wednesday to Saturday) from 1 July 2026 to mid-September.

Year 8 takes on Jersey!

Day 1
Year 8 arrived safely in Jersey and, after lunch overlooking St Brelade's Bay, headed straight to the beach for an afternoon of water sports. Kayaking and the inflatable ride proved particular highlights as the boys enjoyed a fantastic start to the trip.

Day 2
The boys spent the morning at Valley Adventure Centre, taking on aerial trekking, the zip line, Powerfan and King Swing.
In the afternoon, they competed in a padel tournament before exploring Mont Orgueil Castle and learning about Jersey's fascinating history. A well-earned swim in the hotel pool and multi-sport activities rounded off another action-packed day.
