Our Art and Photography trip to St Ives was a creative whirlwind. On Day 1, we explored the Eden Project and learned about local art history from Nick Ferguson. Day 2 featured a tour of Tate St. Ives, sand sculpting, and expressive marking making on Porthmeor Beach. On Day 3, we visited Barbara Hepworth’s home and made felt artwork. Day 4 included surfing, a shoreline print workshop, group exploration, and pottery making at Leach Pottery.
All 42 students produced super work and were excellent ambassadors for Winchmore. A big thank you to Mrs Martinez, Mr Melling, and Miss Ozyurt for their help and support all week.

YOU’VE GOT THIS! 🚀
The corridors are a little quieter and the library is a little fuller—exam season is officially here. We know how much work you’ve put in, and we’re already proud of the dedication we’re seeing.
Take a deep breath, read the question twice, and remember: you are more than a grade. Go smash those exams Winchmore! 👊✨

Kate Osamor, MP for Edmonton and Winchmore Hill, held a workshop for a group of our students to discuss the impact of social media on teenagers.
The session guided students on safe, positive, and productive online behaviour. The workshop also tackled cyberbullying and addiction, empowering students to make better choices when using social media.

Bringing the curriculum to life! 🌿
Last week, we had some very special guests in the library! The Science Department welcomed the ZooLabUK team to Winchmore to enrich our students’ understanding of biodiversity, adaptation, and ecosystems.
Hands-on learning experiences like this don’t just teach facts - they spark curiosity and help students connect with the natural world in a meaningful way.
