At a time when refugees and migrants are once again being blamed, shouted over and dehumanised, we want to invite you to meet the real people. Hear their stories, humour, fears, contradictions and creativity. Not headlines. Not stereotypes.

For we’re delighted to start new partnerships and rekindle old ones.

• On 13 & 20 June we are partnering with .art to co-produce Snakes and Ladders, the first full play written by Tottenham Project member Hamed Vojoudzadeh.

• On 21 June we’ll be outside Hastings Museum with for Birds of Courage, an interactive workshop + performance led by .

• And throughout all of this, rehearsals continue for Ali in Wonder(Eng)land at ahead of our July performances.

Come join us. Meet people. Ask questions. Watch theatre. Hear perspectives too often spoken about, rather than listened to.

These photos are rehearsals, but they are also something else: confidence growing, friendships forming, English being practised, stories being reshaped, and a room full of people refusing to be reduced to headlines.

Ali in Wonder(Eng)land is created with participants from our Tottenham Project: free weekly theatre training for refugees, migrants and asylum seekers.
