How does an animated adaptation take a story from page to screen? This is exactly what our students got to learn at an exclusive talk by Kensuke's Kingdom director Neil Boyle last month! 🎬

As part of our student exclusive 'An Evening With...' series of talks, Neil shared the process of adapting Michael Morpurgo's beloved children's book into an award-winning film starring Cillian Murphy and Sally Hawkins. Covering animation, design and storytelling, students got an in-depth look at the filmmaking process before getting to ask their own questions.

Last Friday, we had the pleasure of once again welcoming Hong Kong Metropolitan University for a stop at Escape Studios.

For a second year in a row, our guests enjoyed an introduction to Escape, a campus tour, and left knowing how to animate a bouncy ball following an exciting taster session with our Head of Animation, Marc Stevenson.

As the curtain falls on another academic year, last Wednesday it was time for our graduating students to take a bow at our annual End of Year Showcase 🤩

Taking place at Vue Leicester Square in London's West end, our third year undergraduate and fourth year integrated master's students presented their work to an audience of tutors, peers and industry guests from a whole range of studios including Framestore, Industrial Light & Magic, Goodbye Kansas, ETC, Aardman Animations, Studio Gobo, Rocksteady, nDreams, Larian Studios and many more!

A massive well done to the students who presented, and a huge thank you to everyone from our professional community who helped make the day so special by joining us to give feedback, share expertise and network with the next generation of creatives 🎉
