A ritualistic homage to moments past, physical growth, and the endless recursion of time.
โMilk Teethโ sees Bella Attwell from BA (Hons) Fine Art weld hundreds of wax-cast baby teeth (moulded from her own teeth) onto a single candle, morphing early symbols of growth into a โstrange relic of becomingโ.
โIt is an actualisation of the perverse transition from innocence to ugliness and decayโthe beauty of growth,โ Bella explains. โWax is both preservation and obliteration: it exists to be consumed, burned, undone. Ritually melted. Presented atop an antique milk churn, the installation conjures domesticity and the grotesque in tandem, maternal warmth curdled; it is devotional and perverse.โ

Our UG & Grad Dip Summer Shows are fast approaching ๐คฉ
Today, we're spotlight some of the work you'll see showcased by our talented students. This particular project was created by Yan Wu, our student from BA (Hons) Textile Design course who specialises in making fashion accessories with a particular focus on 3D weaving technology.
Her project "Functional Glamour" responds to the storage demands of contemporary urban nightlife. Questions like, โWhatโs in your bag on a night out?โ ๐
She conducted street surveys conducted across central London, gathering information on the essential items people carry to bars or clubs and brought this knowledge to her work to design multi-cloth and circular weave constructions.

Scenes from 's participatory performance ๐คฉ
Last week we gathered for evening of collective imagining, movement and action at , as audiences joined Eva Sajovic for a participatory performance expanding on her recent work 'Rise and Fall of a Temple'.
Through shared costume, sound and procession, participants came together to imagine the future together. Costumes and props, developed by Eva in collaboration with Rowan Kelly, became part of a collective action that moved from ritual to assembly.
Led through the space by Almiro Andrade as an augur, the procession gathered into a peopleโs assembly facilitated by Yaz Ashmawi, inviting conversation around what a temple for the future might hold: what it protects, what it values and what it leaves out.
With live music from Joe Bates, the evening culminated in a collective decision on whether the temple would stand or fall followed by an embodied response shaped by everyone present.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this shared act of creative expression.
