This week, we celebrate Dr Gerald Tan of Singapore becoming the first IDDA student to successfully complete two postgraduate diploma programmes simultaneously, achieving both qualifications in under two years.

We are delighted to welcome Dr Ryan Johnson as an IDDA Global Faculty Partner representing the United States and as one of the founding members of the IDDA Global Faculty network 🇺🇸

Ryan has been involved in digital dentistry education for more than 15 years and has been teaching digital workflows since 2008. Throughout his career, he has helped shape the adoption of digital technologies through education, mentorship and hands on training.

As Managing Partner of Open Byte, Ryan brings extensive expertise across intraoral scanning, CBCT, digital smile design, guided surgery, CAD design, 3D printing and full-arch workflows. His commitment to education has seen him lecture internationally for organisations including 3M, exocad and VITA, whilst also teaching faculty members at LSU, the University of Minnesota and Texas Tech.

Ryan shares our belief that digital dentistry deserves a structured educational pathway, helping clinicians develop the knowledge, confidence and skills required to successfully implement modern digital workflows into daily practice.

Through his role as an IDDA Global Faculty Partner, Ryan will support the continued growth of postgraduate digital dentistry education throughout the United States, helping clinicians access structured PGCert, Postgraduate Diploma and MSc pathways whilst contributing to the development of the next generation of digital dentistry professionals.

We are delighted to welcome Dr Miguel Librojo, DMD, MSc, as an IDDA Global Faculty Partner representing the Philippines 🇵🇭

Over time, we have had the pleasure of building a strong relationship with Miguel through our shared passion for digital dentistry, education and clinician development. We are incredibly excited to now formally welcome him to the IDDA Global Faculty network.

With more than 15 years of clinical experience, Miguel is a respected implant clinician, educator and mentor. As Course Director of an implant dentistry programme since 2021, he has helped support the development of clinicians through structured education, advanced implant mentorship and hands-on training.

Miguel brings extensive experience across implant dentistry, intraoral scanning, CBCT, guided surgery, 3D printing and full-arch digital workflows, alongside a commitment to making advanced digital dentistry education more accessible throughout the region.

Through his role as an IDDA Global Faculty Partner, Miguel will support the continued growth of postgraduate digital dentistry education across the Philippines and South East Asia, helping clinicians access structured PGCert, Postgraduate Diploma and MSc pathways closer to home.
