🏎️🔧 Year 5 recently completed their exciting F1 Primary STEM project after weeks of designing, testing and teamwork!
Working in teams, pupils built their own miniature F1 cars, explored engineering and aerodynamics, created team logos and confidently presented their ideas. 🚗💡
The project finished with a thrilling race day where students proudly raced their cars and celebrated their achievements. 🎉🏁
We were incredibly impressed by the teamwork, resilience, creativity and enthusiasm shown throughout this fantastic STEM challenge! 🌟👏

Our Year Art Scholars enjoyed an inspiring workshop led by a senior school art teacher Kew House Senior School exploring the exhibition through sketching, storytelling, discussion and photography.
The session encouraged pupils to think more deeply about their creative practice develop their observational skills and gain valuable insight into the artistic process.
It was a fantastic opportunity to prepare for the transition to senior school while nurturing creativity confidence and a love of art. 🎨✨

Year 4 created an exciting catching game where players click on a character to catch it. They used a score variable to keep track of points, increasing the score by one for each successful catch and resetting it at the start of every new game.
Through this Computing lesson, pupils developed their understanding of variables, sequencing, and creating interactive programs. 💻🎮
Through our Mock Trial Workshop, pupils explored courtroom roles, used evidence to reach informed decisions and developed their speaking and listening skills.
The session also encouraged critical thinking, teamwork, confidence and an understanding of fairness and justice within the legal system.🧑⚖️👩⚖️👨⚖️

Year 5 identified the features of scams and trained an AI model to recognise words and phrases commonly found in scam messages, such as “hurry”, “limited offer” and “blocked account”.
They then applied their trained AI within a Scratch project so that scam messages automatically triggered a “Scam” backdrop, while safe messages displayed a “Clean” backdrop.
