As I watch the bereaved families in Manchester I am reminded of the services I attended after 9/11 and as I hear the bereaved families of Grenfell I remember my own desperate need to tell the story of Simon to make him real and not a number. And my client work as a therapist reminds me every day Of the less public traumas that people face everyday .... I am deeply proud of how many families impacted by trauma and emotional challenges work so hard to express love in every step they take on such a hard journey.
Love is vital and it held me then and it still holds me now and My hope is for love in every choice we make in life.
My love goes out to all the families.

Thank you. Always. Everyone. So many messages of love, hugs and thoughts. 16 years on ...
Our world seems to be in huge turmoil on so many levels at the moment and maybe I had hoped that we would have evolved since 2001 but on the surface it looks like we haven't. However, I still feel 16 years on that Simon's essence was to live life, laugh always, love deeply, connect with others, be kind, do good, be responsible for every one of his actions, think about consequences, positively impact the world around him and always enjoy a good glass of red.
It's not a bad philosophy in the current world climate. It's one I feel I can only choose in all the noise, trouble and hard work.

Simple but powerful ...
The silent tragedy affecting today’s children �Here is my new blog post. I encourage every parent who cares about the future of his/her children to read it. I know that many would choose not to hear what I say in the article, but your children need you to hear this message. Even if you disagree with my perspective, please
