Did you know ladybirds sometimes play dead when they feel scared or threatened? 🐞

Even the smallest creatures have ways of protecting themselves and communicating their need for safety. Nature is constantly reminding us that boundaries matter, whether we are observing insects, animals, or our relationships with each other.

When we begin to notice these subtle behaviours in the natural world, it gently invites us into a deeper kind of listening, one that is at the heart of animal communication: presence, respect, and awareness of the living experience of another being.

It’s so important to make time for loved ones, especially as they grow more senior. I’ve loved sharing time with my Mother Mary, although a short trip it’s better than nothing at all and doesn’t exhaust her in the same way a longer stay could. We had some lovely food at Loaf, and she took me by surprise by polishing off their Full Loaf Brunch! Precious moments with precious people. ✨🙏💚

Happiness is a warm puppy 🐶💛

Sometimes the purest joy in life comes from simple moments: a wagging tail, soft fur, and the quiet, unconditional love of a dog who is simply happy to be with you.

Whether young or old, every “puppy” carries that same capacity to bring comfort, presence, and connection.

What do we offer in return?

Like a tiny dragon painted by the sunset 🦎🔥

The Mwanza flat-headed rock agama is one of nature’s most striking reptiles, glowing in vivid blues and fiery reds that look almost otherworldly. Found in parts of East Africa, this colourful lizard is a perfect reminder of how bold and creative nature can be.

Every time I see creatures like this, I’m reminded that nature is the original artist.

Every fish journey matters. 🐟 🌊

Fish are vital to the balance and health of our oceans, moving through vast waters in ancient, intelligent patterns that sustain entire ecosystems.

Today, I invite you to pause and send a moment of gratitude and love to the ocean and all its living beings, and to wish migrating fish safe passage on their journey.

Even the smallest intention of care ripples outward in ways we cannot always see.

Now you see me… now you don’t. 🐙✨

The octopus moves through the ocean like living intelligence itself, shifting colour, texture, and form in seconds as though the sea is moving through them.

A quiet reminder that nature is far more mysterious, sentient, and magical than we often allow ourselves to remember.

I never stop being amazed by the animal kingdom. 💙
