๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Help shape the future of planning in England by taking part in the Pluralism in Place survey, led LSE Oram research fellows Liz Williams and Meg Hennessy.

๐Ÿ“š This study explores how professionals across the built environment sector engage with different types of value โ€“ from economic and environmental to social and cultural โ€“ and how we can better navigate the tools used to define, measure, and balance these priorities.
These tools include both value frameworks, which provide guiding principles for decision-making, and value measurement tools, which help assess the impacts of projects across their lifecycle. The researchers aim to establish an inventory of value-based tools: to better understand how they influence practice and how we might work towards more effective approaches for managing trade-offs in planning and development.

๐Ÿ•’ The survey takes around 10 minutes, and all participants will be entered into a draw to win a ยฃ100 AllforOne Giftcard.

Pluralism in Place: Navigating Competing Values in the Built Environment This survey will examine how practitioners navigate value-based tools: how they aid or impact decision-making and how we might work towards more effective frameworks for managing competing trade-offs.
