We hope that by achieving these aims attendants of the conference will have a greater economic understanding as to the nuances of markets such as those in BRIC nations and understand what career prospects will look like post- Economic Crisis. We seek to achieve our aims by inviting world-class Academics, Professionals and Students to UCL and providing a platform for discussion. What will the conference be like? Our conference, Taming the City: The Future of Finance’, will be a platform where world-class professionals and academics come together with driven, intelligent university students. With our aims in mind we will be discussing:
Pioneering research about Macroeconomics and International Monetary Economics.
- What are the past, present and future economic regulation and policies? - What political factors influence policymaking?
- What are the implications for financial markets with post- economic crisis growth? How future careers will be shaped by regulations
- Amongst all the financial turmoil and movement, why bother with banking?
- Where are the new investment opportunities?

This conference is a very exciting opportunity for us. At UCL we offer some of the best, most enthusiastic minds. We will be privileged enough as a University to host up to 300 like-minded students and academics, over the course of an intellectually stimulating day. This is a chance for students from across the world to learn more about the current economic climate and gain insights into where they are going in the future.
