Communication is more than just sharing information. It’s really about sharing yourself—your real self. That level of honesty is the key to being able to connect with people.

I love this quote by Brené Brown. It can feel like a risk to be authentic and transparent. People might not like the real you, but they might not like a phony version of you either. And if they did initially like an inauthentic version, when they found out it wasn’t really you, they wouldn’t like that either. Wouldn’t you prefer to be liked or disliked for who you really are? I know I would!
