Can you believe that half of June is gone? I haven’t even got a proper taste of summer, all the rains have washed away the memory of a heat wave from early June. Cherry varenyki would’ve been nice to help with this bittersweet feeling. By the way, shall I print this Ukrainian food calendar for the next year?

Many years ago, as a student, I was working in Hampstead part time, mornings and afternoons. Once I decided to stay there all day because of the tube strikes and risks not to make it in time for afternoon session - so I stayed in a Starbucks near the window and started to draw the houses. Later this series got me a commission from The Ritz London, that put start to my current style and also all my calendars. The first two are a4 format, the third one is big and is standing on my fireplace. I still like to look at it. Prints are available of each artwork, in case you are interested.

Last year I designed wine labels for Georgian wines and just now I’ve got to photograph them (amongs the staples of Georgian cuisine: walnuts, coriander and pomegranate). We tried to bring to you the atmosphere of Tbilisi street cafe, with street art, cats, balconies and antique rugs and add a bit of colour. It was a very fun project, I enjoyed working on it and you can get the wine in your local deli (I was told there are a lot of them in London)

New issue of with my cocktail illustrations has come out today. 🍸🍸🍸
While drawing them I almost confused the submission deadline with issue date, so some 3am drawing took place, but all came out well and on time after all

Exactly a month ago we were in Brittany. Even the weather seems to be reminding us with the same level of wetness: London feels very much like Rennes today. Except Cola Breizh is missing, which is a shame, my children really liked it with their galettes.

How we met last Friday of May. Roses, roses, pimm’s, pizza, football and badminton in Regent’s Park. Last year was exactly the same, would be nice to make it a tradition ☀️
