Registration and abstract submission opens on 20th October

UK Archaeological Science Conference 2017 UCL’s Institute of Archaeology is proud to be hosting the 2017 UK Archaeological Science conference. The conference will take place within UCL’s central London campus from the 5-8 April 2017.

After a fantastic ISBA 7 Conference in Oxford last week, we are really looking forward to hosting at UCL Institute of Archaeology in April 2017!

Have you seen BBC 4's piece on Must Farm and realised how much UK Archaeological Science was shown there? Not just we - obviously also the public loves hearing about Archaeological Science made in UK. So we are looking forward to many exciting presentations in London in April 2017!

Professional use

We are looking for staff and student volunteers from UCL Institute of Archaeology and, in particular, MCAS: Material Culture and Archaeological Science to assist with the organization and running of the conference.

If you are interested pls check in your institute emails for "Join the UK Archaeological Science Conference committee" to find further details.

The summer break slows down the academic life a bit - but planning and preparing the conference still goes on at the moment with the formation of a conference committee.

UCL Institute of Archaeology to host UKAS 2017 The UK Archaeological Science (UKAS) conference will be hosted in London by the UCL Institute of Archaeology from 5-8 April, 2017.

Slowly things get sorted out here in London and we have some first provisional dates that might be of interest for you:

1st December 2016 - Abstract deadline
31st January 2017 - Deadline of early bird registration
5th-8th April 2017 - UKAS 2017 conference @ UCL

We hope to get the booking system started by October 2016. Decision about the acceptance of abstracts are scheduled for January 2017. More to come...
