The Birkbeck Law Review is an independent, open-access law journal run by students from Birkbeck. (Print) ISSN 2052-1308 (Online) ISSN 2052-1316
We publish articles by students, scholars, and practitioners that take critical and interdisciplinary approaches to the law. Our issues also features interviews with notable practitioners specialising in different areas of the law, as well as book reviews and shorter pieces. Issues are published twice-yearly, in April and October, and can be accessed online and downloaded for free on our website (

We are pleased to announce that Dr Chiara Bottici (Associate Professor of Philosophy at the New School of Social Research, New York) will also be a keynote speaker at our 'Dystopias Here and Now' conference on 11-12 October.
Dr Bottici will be discussing her libretto written for Jean-Baptiste Barriere's philosophical opera, "The Art of Change", which describes the vicissitudes of a society that has decided to apply the principle of accelerated change to all and every aspect of social life.
