The Tufts Alumni London community is pleased to invite you to join our next event, a Conversation with Professor Kelly Greenhill on Wednesday, November 20. Registration link is in our profile!

Professor Greenhill will be speaking with us about “The Weaponization of Migration as a Political, Military and Economic Instrument of Statecraft.” Drawing upon the findings of her award-winning book, Weapons of Mass Migration: Forced Displacement Coercion and Foreign Policy (second edition, forthcoming), she will explain how and why states and non-actors can use the threat or actual creation of cross-border migration flows as an instrument of statecraft. She will discuss both historical and contemporary examples from around the globe and discuss what current patterns portend for the future.

The London Alumni chapter would like to invite you to take part in Global Tufts Month through a volunteer day on Saturday, March 25 from 10am-1pm. We will be volunteering for a few hours with HandsOn London at their office in Camden (NW1 0AG) to create toiletry packs and gift packs for children and craft positive notes for the recipients. The packing session is part of a series of events HandsOn is hosting for International Good Deeds Day.

We have up to 15 spots available, and you are welcome to join us for a portion of the three-hour session if you are unable to stay for the entire morning. If you are interested in participating, please RSVP to [email protected] by Wednesday, March 15. Plus ones are welcome!
