Today is World Book Day in the United Kingdom and Ireland! πππ
World Book Day is an annual charity event that started in 1998 which aims to promote reading. On the first Thursday of March, all full-time school children are given a voucher to spend on books and encouraged to go to school dressed as their favourite literary character.
I am afraid we decided not to dress-up at Regent London today but we did celebrate by discussing our favourite books! And it was fascinating to hear the range of interests in the school!
What is your favourite book? Tell us in the comment section below!
