May Bank Holiday Open Mat
On the 29th May 2023, the New School BJJ Battersea branch held an Open Mat session, so that our members could take advantage of getting some training in on the Bank holiday. BJJ students of the Tokei Martial Arts club came down to our dojo for a visit, which gave us the chance to train and spar with people that we haven't met before, and who also have a lot of Judo experience on top of their BJJ training. The session was great, with everyone getting in some good rounds of sparring and drilling, under the watchful eye of the instructor, Liam Wandi. At the end of the session, and after all the enjoyable hard work and effort, we decided that it wouldn't be right to say our goodbyes yet. So everyone spoiled themselves with a few drinks along the River Thames. A fantastic bank holiday open mat session and social evening! Thanks to everyone that came down and we look forward to the next one!!!

** FRIDAY SEMINAR — 10th JUNE 2022 @ 7-9PM ** It’s with great honour that NSBJJ will be hosting a seminar with Master Leão Teixeira. We are immensely proud to have Master Ze for a seminar on FRIDAY 10TH JUNE @ Battersea Sports Centre. Master Ze is one of the founding members of the International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation. With decades of experience and currently a 7th Dan Coral belt. So much of what we teach is based upon the syllabus that that Master Ze has handed down to Masters Felipe Alves de Souza and Helio Soneca. It is from these principles that the foundations of BJJ School and NSBJJ have been built. Having attended a number of his seminars, along with many of the higher grades, we have all been humbled by the detail and knowledge imparted. I cannot emphasise this enough.
