¿Cuándo y dónde serán los Cafés? Las sesiones serán de no más de una hora, una vez a la semana en un sitio ya establecido. La primera semana se llevará a cabo una encuesta por las clases para poder concretar los mejores horarios para que el mayor número de personas puedan acudir. Tanto el lugar como el horario son flexibles.
¿Qué se hace en un Café Español? Cualquier actividad que cree una necesidad de utilizar el español. Por ejemplo, jugar al tabú o hablar en grupos sobre una película. Los propios integrantes podrán sugerir actividades según sus preferencias. Además, una vez creado un grupo, se llevará a cabo un proyecto final. Estará destinado a la comunidad hispana de Roehampton y sus alrededores y será diseñado por las mismas personas del Café Español.

What is it? The “Café Español” is an initiative created by the students with the aim of practising the Spanish language in the University of Roehampton. It is going to be an informal meeting in café inside the campus where all people interested in talking to other people in Spanish are welcomed. What is the goal of the Café Español? It is a good chance to practise the language, get to know the Hispanic Culture and meet new friends. Who can assist? There is not a minimum or a maximum level. Participants do not have to belong to the university. The only requirement is to have a yearning to learn. When and where is the Café going to be? The sessions are not going to be longer than an hour, once a week in a pre-arranged place. A survey is going to be taken during the first week of classes so the time of the Café can be established in order to have as many people as possible. Both the time and the place are flexible. What kind of activities take place in a Café Español? In the Café, any activity that creates a need to talk can take place. For instance, playing taboo or having a discussion about a film. The participants can suggest activities according to their wishes. Besides, once the group is created, a final project is going to be developed: “Locos por...” It would be focus on the Hispanic community of Roehampton and its surrounding area. Jose Morales
