Our Year 10 students recently visited one of London’s most iconic landmarks — St Paul’s Cathedral

During a guided tour, students explored the remarkable history, architecture and significance of this world-famous cathedral before climbing to the dizzying heights of the dome, which for centuries stood as the tallest structure in London.

From breathtaking views across the capital to discovering more about one of the city’s most historic buildings, it was a memorable and inspiring experience for everyone involved.

A huge thank you to the staff who organised the trip and to our students for representing the school so positively throughout the visit.

Congratulations to Connor, who won the Jack Petchey Award in the Year 8 category this spring term!

When choosing his reward, Connor made an incredibly thoughtful and community-minded decision. Rather than selecting something for himself, he chose a huge pack of play equipment that the whole Year 8 cohort can enjoy during break times.

A wonderful example of kindness, generosity and thinking about others -well done, Connor!

Earlier this term, students in the Art department marked Earth Day through a range of creative and sustainability-focused activities.
From designing eye-catching posters to developing eco-friendly product ideas, students explored thoughtful ways of protecting our planet through art and design. The projects were approached with imagination, creativity and a calm sense of focus throughout.
As a school, we are committed to helping students develop a lasting sense of care and responsibility for the world around them.
A big thank you to Ms Krenc for organising such an inspiring series of activities.

Year 11 students kicked off Science Week by exploring the anatomy of a sheep’s eyeball, gaining a hands-on understanding of how the eye is structured and how it functions.
Before immersing themselves in weeks of GCSE revision, this was a welcome opportunity for our Year 11s to get properly hands-on in the lab and bring key biological concepts to life.

Our playing fields recently played host to a special football showcase, led by Mr King and attended by Aloysius alumnus Simon Iyamore, now a scout for Tottenham Hotspur FC.

Students from Years 7–10 took to the pitch with focus and determination, showcasing their skills and commitment in front of a professional eye - with the exciting prospect of a club trial.

Beyond the game, Simon shared valuable insight into the wide range of careers within the sports industry, encouraging students to think ambitiously about their future pathways.

👏 We are delighted that two students have now been selected for a trial — a fantastic achievement and a moment to be proud of.

Thank you to Mr King for organising and to Mr Dawood for supporting the event.

A season of renewal and hope.

Easter reminds us of the power of new beginnings - of hope, renewal and the promise of growth.

At St Aloysius’, these values are lived out each day in our classrooms, our community and in the way we support one another to flourish.

As we celebrate this special season, we are reminded that even the smallest everyday actions can lead to meaningful change - and that together, we continue to grow in faith, purpose and possibility.

Wishing our whole community a joyful and blessed Easter.

This term, our Year 7 students have been exploring cityscapes in Art, drawing inspiration from Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser.

Through the project, students have developed their understanding of colour theory, discovering how colour can be used to evoke emotion and bring artwork to life.

Their final pieces celebrate individuality and creativity, with abstract designs that reflect their own unique artistic voices.

As part of a homework competition, students also designed and constructed model buildings inspired by Hundertwasser’s vibrant and distinctive style — a fantastic showcase of imagination and skill.
