Why do children love to roll?

For many children, rolling, turning and being upside down are exciting ways to explore movement.

These experiences help children learn more about how their bodies move while practising balance, coordination and body awareness.

It’s also why many little ones want to repeat the same activity over and over again. What can look repetitive to adults is often a child refining a movement and building confidence through practice.

At Tumble Tots, activities are designed to give children opportunities to explore movement in a safe, structured environment while having plenty of fun along the way.

Because sometimes what looks like simple play is actually something much more important 🤩

Nicola got some lovely photos of me with my girls this afternoon. Not only did she manage to get them both smiling and looking at the camera, but we had great fun too!

The 2 to 3 Year class is an important period of development where movement becomes more structured and purposeful.

Children begin moving beyond individual exploration and start participating more confidently within routines, guided activities and group environments.

Alongside continued physical development such as coordination, balance and dexterity, children are also developing listening skills, turn taking and growing confidence around others.

The 2 to 3 Years class is designed to support this stage through structured movement activities that help physical and social development progress together over time.

Trial spaces are available this term, book your child’s space today at www.tumbletots.com/winchmorehill/book (link also in bio!). We look forward to meeting you and your little one soon!

Walking is often seen as the point where development becomes more established, but in reality it is one of the most important transition stages in early childhood. This is the moment where movement shifts from being supported to being independent.

Children begin to explore their abilities more intentionally, testing balance, coordination and control through everyday movement.

These experiences form the foundation for how confidence and physical capability develop in the stages that follow.

Our Walking to 2 Years class is designed to support children during this key period of rapid growth, providing structured movement opportunities that match their stage of development and help build essential physical skills over time.

The moment they discover they can climb everything… One day they are walking. The next, everything becomes a potential climbing frame.

We’re here to help them (and you) navigate this next stage of their development journey. Book a trial class today using the link in our bio to support your child’s development through structured physical play.
