The children were challenged to create a picture using a circle as their starting shape. โญ
Anshi used a cream lid to draw her first circle before adding more circles and a triangle to develop her artwork. She proudly explained, "I have drawn a snowman. It has a nose, two arms, and a pointed hat. It has three buttons on its belly." โ๏ธ
Through this creative activity, Anshi explored shape recognition, developed her drawing skills and used her imagination to create a detailed and thoughtful picture. We love seeing our children express their ideas so confidently! โจ๐จ

๐ฑ๐ฃ๐ค A busy week of learning in Year 1! ๐ค๐ฃ๐ฑ
In PSHE and Science, Year 1 explored lifecycles and development, learning how living things grow and change over time. The children sequenced lifecycles, identified key physical and developmental changes, and shared their ideas with their classmates, showing great curiosity and enthusiasm throughout.
The children also had a fantastic time celebrating British Sign Language Day. They learnt how to sign familiar words and songs, including Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star, while developing their understanding of different ways people communicate. As part of the celebrations, they took part in a range of activities, including learning signs, matching and colouring flags from different countries, and discussing how languages connect people around the world.
It was wonderful to see the children's confidence, curiosity and appreciation for diversity grow through these engaging learning experiences. ๐๐โจ

In Humanities, Year 4 pupils explored what life was like for city workers during the Industrial Revolution. Using a range of historical images, they examined evidence, discussed what the pictures revealed about working and living conditions, and compared life in the past with life today.
The children considered both the positive and negative impacts of the Industrial Revolution, helping them to develop a deeper understanding of how this period transformed people's lives and shaped the world around us

Year 4 became wildlife explorers during an exciting gardening workshop!
The children discovered fascinating facts about animals, insects and the habitats they call home. Armed with their new knowledge, they headed into the school gardens for a mini beast hunt, carefully collecting creatures to observe up close.
They then sketched and wrote detailed observations about their discoveries before responsibly returning each creature safely to its natural habitat. It was a fantastic hands on learning experience that brought nature to life! ๐ฑ๐
Thank you for another brilliant session! ๐
