Back to our highlights across the academic year so far!✨

Our 2025 Jack Petchey Award winners attended the Awards Evening at Fairfield Halls on Wednesday 21 January. It was a fantastic night which brought all award winners together from across the borough to celebrate their achievements. Our students were presented with their awards by Councillor Richard Chatterjee, the then Civic Mayor of Croydon. Huge congratulations to all our amazing winners!🏅

💫 Monitoring Visit Highlights 2026 💫

Learning beyond the classroom at Ark Blake✨

In November, our students enjoyed an unforgettable educational visit to Malaga, packed with culture, language and adventure!✈️ From visiting a Spanish school and taking part in bilingual exchanges, to Flamenco dancing and exploring one of Europe’s oldest caves, our students embraced every opportunity to practice their Spanish.

Highlights also included trips to Nerja and Frigiliana, tasting adventurous foods at Malaga’s Central Market and visits to the Alcazaba Fortress.

We are incredibly proud of how our students represented Ark Blake.👏

In December 2025, our talented students took to the stage at Fairfield Halls as part of the Croydon Borough Showcase.

Our Advanced Steel Pan group, featuring students from Years 7 to 11, opened the evening with a fantastic rendition of Billie Jean🥁 This was followed by our singing group of 35 students, who performed a festive mash-up🎤

A truly memorable evening celebrating talent, confidence and teamwork!✨

It’s been an exciting few months and start to 2026 for us at Ark Blake!💫 Since October, our students have been involved in a range of events and trips and have already achieved so much both inside and outside the classroom. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing some of our highlights so stay tuned!

Today, our students paused for a two-minute silence during lessons, joining a virtual assembly led by Mr Rispoli and Ms Loudon to honour the brave soldiers who gave their lives for our freedom.

🍂 Autumn Term 1 Highlights!🍂
A strong start to the year at Ark Blake - our Year 7 football teams shone on the pitch⚽ We celebrated Black History Month with "Standing Firm in Power and Pride", spotlighting Lillian Bader, Claudia Jones, Doreen Lawrence & Benjamin Zephaniah.
Fantastic turnouts at our Open Events and a buzzing Enrichment Fair with clubs from rollerskating to ukulele!💛
