This time last week, Year 8 were transported to the ancient world! Pupils explored the origins of the Homeric Epic and enjoyed a session with oral historian Wendy Shearer, who told spellbinding stories from the Odyssey and invited pupils to present their own magical lands.
In the afternoon, Year 8 split into Drama, DT, and Music groups. They showed incredible teamwork, creativity, and engagement in performing retellings of the Odyssey and built a themed mini-golf course, with each hole representing one of Odysseusโ adventures.
Girls went away thoroughly inspired by the wonder of the ancient world, with many pupils encouraged to explore Classical Civilisation even further.

On Saturday we hosted our bi-annual alumnae event! We were delighted to welcome back graduates spanning from the class of 1968 all the way to 2019.
Despite the rain, it was a beautiful day to share memories, connect with old friends, and look back on days spent within these halls.
Thank you to everyone who attended. We look forward to seeing even more faces at our next event, which will include a highly anticipated tour of The Foundry and Fairlight Innovation Space!
