Watts & Waves: Defining the Water-Energy Nexus and What It Demands of Tomorrow's Leaders 26/05/2026

Last month, ESCP Business School's MSc in Energy Management (MEM) students, the ESCP Alumni Energy Group, and the ESCP Energy Society co-hosted the Watts & Waves Forum, a full-day event at the Montparnasse campus, dedicated to the water-energy nexus. Around 150 alumni, students, practitioners and external professionals gathered for a programme that brought together regulators, scientific researchers, operators, financiers and entrepreneurs to address one of the energy transition's most under-recognised constraints.

We’re delighted to report that the ESCP Energy Society hosted the inaugural Watts & Waves Forum on April 27th at ESCP’s Montparnasse Campus.

Organised in partnership with the ESCP Alumni Energy Group, this full-day event explored the water-energy nexus: the fundamental interdependence between two resources at the heart of the energy transition. No water without energy, no energy without water.

The forum brought together researchers, industry executives, water and energy operators, and start-ups for a day of keynotes, panels, and open discussions spanning the physical science behind water cycles, operational challenges across industries, and innovative local solutions.

Big thanks to all speakers, panellists, moderators, volunteers, and attendees who made this first edition possible.
