This is amazing news for our Ambassador!

London’s Shaftesbury Theatre has announced that it will be renamed the Judi Dench Theatre. 🎭

Dame Judi Dench was a founding member of the Theatre of Comedy, a collective of actors and authors which helped ensure the continuance of the theatre in the ‘80s and early ‘90s. Her role in the sitcom, 'As Time Goes By', which ran for nine series, also cemented her links to the Taffner family, whose company produced the show, and also own the theatre.

Dame Judi Dench said, “The Shaftesbury Theatre has always held a special place in my heart. My relationship to the Theatre of Comedy and to the Taffner family goes back many years and to have this beautiful theatre renamed after me is truly overwhelming. Live theatre continues to be so important as a way of telling stories and entertaining audiences, something I have aimed to do all my working life.”

The renaming is set to take place in February 2027.

We did it!

Thanks to you, we’ve reached our £10,000 target, and even managed to raise a little extra 🙌

The campaign is still open until 16 June, and while donations are no longer match funded, every contribution will help more young people keep going: https://bit.ly/4wUSA4G

We're 1 week in to and nearly halfway to our £10k goal - thank you
This campaign is about believing in real young people, like Elaine.

Before Future Talent, 10-year-old Elaine struggled to keep up with violin lessons because her mum was juggling costs. Now, she can keep playing.

Too many young musicians are in the same position — full of potential, just needing a little support to keep going.

We know you believe in them just like we do. So turn that belief into action, and if you're in a position to, donate to support musicians like Elaine. In this match-funded campaign, £1 donation = £2 received. So this is the best time to help support young potential!

Yes, James is hiding behind that tuba! We loved hearing him play at our recent masterclass with ✨ and doesn't it sound amazing 🔥

Too many children on their musical journey are at risk of having to stop. Not because the potential isn't there, but because of the cost.

When the average lesson in London costs £45 per hour, it's no surprise young musicians from low-income families are being priced out of their potential.

That’s why we’re taking part in Champions for Children 💙 A match-funded campaign to unlock musical potential, and show young people we believe in them. We're aiming to raise £10,000 by 16th June!

We’re proud to have the support of our ambassadors Lady Jeanne Galway and Sir James Galway, who share why this matters so much 🎥

So if you share our belief in potential, turn that belief into action, by donating if you can, and sharing with your network! Donate here: https://bit.ly/4wUSA4G

Huge congratulations to all our amazing young musicians! 🌟 Half-term fun and even a heat wave couldn’t slow you down. The dedication and achievements shown inspires us all!

The biggest thank you to our ambassador for hosting a fabulous masterclass for Future Talent brass players - and during a heat wave at that!

Our players worked through sections of their pieces with Matilda, getting detailed individual advice on how to enhance some already amazing playing. Then, the trumpet players got to join Matilda for some ensemble practice, with each player rotating who played in which position.

It was a great day all round and well done to our hard working brass players, and thank you Matilda! 🎺✨
