United in Faith at St Paul’s Cathedral 🧩β›ͺ

Year 10 and Year 11 students attended the LDBS School Service at St Paul's Cathedral on Thursday 12th February.

The service was on the theme of forgiveness and restoring relationships. Part of the service was for every Church of England School who attended, both from primary and secondary schools across London, to create one piece of a jigsaw.

Our piece, designed by a Year 10 student, represented how unique our school is, with our school badge and school values included in the artwork. Although all of the schools came from different places, we all bring different gifts and ideas.

Together we can learn from one another, support one another and as we all belong to the same Diocese, we are connected to each other.

πŸ’› Wellbeing Week in Action πŸ’›

This week, our students have been spreading positivity across the school as part of Wellbeing Week.

A mural filled with encouraging notes and uplifting messages gave everyone the chance to share a few kind words. Secret Valentine books were gifted to students, with thoughtful messages tucked inside, helping to make someone’s day a little brighter.

Roses were also on sale, adding a simple gesture of appreciation and friendship to the week.

All designed to help every member of our community feel valued, included and supported. 🌟

πŸ’› Wellbeing Week is here! πŸ’›

As part of this week’s activities, students are invited to take part in our Book Gifting Initiative, organised by Ms Sanchez πŸ“š

Students can:
✨ Choose a book from the wellbeing table
✍️ Write a thoughtful message inside
🎁 Place it in a gift bag

Our wonderful Sixth Form students will then deliver the surprise books on Friday.

A small gesture. A big impact. πŸ’«

Let’s spread some kindness through reading.

πŸ‰ From PE to the Pitch at Twickenham 🏟️

Together with the Jason Roberts Foundation, we have been working to promote rugby for girls in PE, creating exciting opportunities to inspire participation and confidence in the sport.

As part of this partnership, six Year 7 and 8 students had an unforgettable experience at Twickenham Stadium, attending the England v Wales Six Nations match, played in front of a sold-out crowd of 80,000 spectators.

Our students had the incredible honour of walking through the Twickenham tunnel, carrying the Six Nations flag onto the pitch, and playing tag rugby on the pitch ahead of kick-off. πŸ‰

The students had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed this once-in-a-lifetime experience, creating memories they will never forget. 🌟

πŸ“–πŸŒŸ 2026 is the National Year of Reading! πŸŒŸπŸ“–

We’re joining a UK-wide movement to celebrate reading in all its forms. The theme Go All In means diving into the things you love β€” whether that’s football, foodie blogs, audiobooks, comics, novels, or whatever sparks your curiosity β€” and letting reading make it even richer.

πŸ“šOur librarian is leading the way, encouraging everyone to pick up a book, explore new stories, and rediscover reading for pleasure.

This year’s message is simple: if you’re into it, read into it.πŸ‘©πŸ»β€πŸ«
