HAWK is a technology that can be utilised to understand more about how the hands move to complete functional tasks.
It can accurately measure, to less than a degree, all the dynamic joint information of the human hand. HAWK is a unique set of algorithms that can receive three-dimensional coordinates of a number of fixed points on the wrist, hand fingers and thumb, from, for example, a motion capture system. It analyses the composite movements integral to hand function and is the first technique to accurately measure all these dynamic movements.
