๐ŸŽจโœจ Creativity in Action!

Our students have been continuing to explore the exciting printmaking technique of polyprinting in their Art lessons.

Using rollers, inks and textured surfaces, they experimented with layering, pattern and colour to create unique and eye-catching prints while developing their artistic confidence and creativity.

It's been fantastic to see our students embracing new techniques, expressing their ideas and enjoying the creative process. We can't wait to see their finished pieces! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’™

Our students have been busy designing and making their own desk organisers, combining creativity with practical design skills.

Throughout the project, students have developed their measuring, planning and construction techniques to create useful products that help keep workspaces neat and organised. It has been fantastic to see their ideas take shape and watch their confidence grow as they worked through each stage of the design process.

Well done to all of our students for their hard work, creativity and attention to detail! ๐ŸŒŸ

๐Ÿ”ฌ๐Ÿ“š Learning Continues at Home! ๐Ÿก๐Ÿ’™

Although some of our students have been learning from home due to the hot weather this week, they have certainly not stopped learning!

One of our students recently carried out an exciting Science investigation into acids and alkalis, using a range of household substances to test and compare their pH levels. ๐Ÿงช

The student followed the experiment demonstrated in the video below and carefully recorded their predictions, observations and results, identifying whether each substance was acidic, alkaline or neutral.

๐Ÿ‘ We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm, independence and scientific thinking shown through this fantastic piece of home learning.

Take a look at the photos to see the experiment in action!

๐ŸŒฟ Honouring Windrush Day ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง

Yesterday, we marked Windrush Dayโ€”a time to recognise and celebrate the extraordinary contributions of the Windrush Generation, who travelled from the Caribbean to help rebuild Britain after the Second World War.

Their resilience, determination and lasting impact have helped shape the diverse communities we know today, and their stories continue to inspire future generations.

To learn more about this important chapter in British history, we encourage our school community to watch the BBC Newsround Special:

๐ŸŽฅ Finding My Family โ€“ Windrush: A Newsround Special

This engaging film explores the history of the Windrush Generation through personal stories and helps bring these significant events to life for young people.

Let's continue to celebrate diversity, honour the past and learn from the stories that have helped shape our nation. ๐Ÿ’™

๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿ’™ Learning Beyond the Classroom ๐Ÿ’™๐ŸŒณ

As we approach the end of another fantastic academic year, some of our students have been enjoying time in our nurturing groups, taking part in a variety of community-based activities.

From visits to the local park to exploring nearby supermarkets, these experiences have provided valuable opportunities to develop independence, confidence and everyday life skills, while enjoying time together in a relaxed and supportive environment.

We're so proud of the positive attitudes, teamwork and resilience our students have shown throughout these outings. It's been wonderful to see them continue to grow, connect with their community and create lasting memories as the school year comes to a close.

๐Ÿ’™ Every journey matters.
