The Alternative to Supply Teaching Agencies. Opogo Education is redefining the way schools and educators connect. We focus on supply and retention. Education.

We’ve built an ethical EdTech platform that reshapes the traditional supply agency model, making it faster, fairer, and more efficient. We provide control over recruitment. And by building a private, secure, personalised community we help educators share, support and grow. And we reinvest back into the education system to provide help where it’s needed most. Quite simply, Opogo is here to support

Case study: Classroom READY in action 📚

When Brenda Kiptalam joined Opogo, she was new to education and looking for the confidence to support pupils well from day one. She completed our Classroom READY training in the summer before starting the academic year - and the impact carried straight into the classroom.

The programme equips educators with practical, real-world strategies: supporting pupils with SEND, communicating effectively with children, and working in partnership with class teachers - not just following instructions.

As Brenda told us:
“I feel like I’m more confident in the class.”

That confidence translated into action - contributing ideas to classroom practice, building strong relationships with staff, and becoming a valued, trusted part of the school community.

This is what Classroom READY is built to deliver:
✔ Confidence from day one
✔ Practical, classroom-ready skills
✔ SEND-informed practice
✔ Team Teach Level 1 Certification

Delivered by our Training & Retention Manager Paul Boyd, Classroom READY reflects our commitment to preparing educators properly - and raising quality, consistency and confidence across every classroom we support.

If you’re rethinking how your school invests in professional development, we’re ready to help.

Teaching assistants deliver some of the most important learning moments in school.

But when they change every week, get shortened, or get covered by someone else, they can lose impact fast.

Recently, we asked our TAs what they most wanted support with when it comes to upskilling. One message came through clearly: delivering effective interventions with confidence and consistency. We listened.

✅ New self-led course: Delivering Effective Interventions as a TA

Built to strengthen:
• Consistency (even when plans change)
• SEND-informed delivery
• Clear routines and session structure
• Feedback loops back to teachers and SENCo

This is practical upskilling, shaped by TA feedback, that also supports quality assurance across your intervention provision.

Cost-effective supply staffing, powered by smarter tech.

Our tech-led booking platform removes the inefficiencies of traditional agencies - which is why schools pay a £30 flat daily service fee for any bookings made through the platform. No inflated percentage margins.

That’s around 45% cheaper than many traditional agency models, while keeping quality, compliance and transparency front and centre.

What if supply staffing already worked the way policy is asking it to?

The Department for Education is setting a clear expectation: education suppliers must deliver maximum value, with transparency and fairness.

At Opogo Education, this isn’t a future ambition - it’s how we operate today.

Here’s what that looks like in practice:

💷 £30 flat platform service fee - already aligned with negotiated rate caps
🧾 Clear, itemised invoices - showing exactly what educators are paid and what schools are charged
✅ Crown Commercial Service approved - so schools can buy with confidence
🎓 A model built around fairness, transparency, and outcomes for pupils

If your school is reviewing supply spend and thinking about value - we’re ready now.

Anti-Bullying Week 💙

This week is a reminder that every educator plays a role in creating safe, inclusive classrooms where every child feels seen and supported.

Here are 5 key ways to spot when a pupil might be experiencing bullying - and how to help:

1. Notice sudden changes in behaviour
If a confident child becomes withdrawn, avoids friends, or shows signs of anxiety, it could be a sign something’s wrong. Take time to check in privately and listen without judgement.

2. Watch for physical or emotional red flags
Unexplained bruises, missing items, or emotional distress often signal deeper issues. Record what you see and flag it early - never wait for “proof” before acting.

3. Pay attention to social dynamics
Bullying often hides in exclusion. Notice who’s being left out, talked over, or laughed at. Small social shifts can reveal a lot.

4. Take digital behaviour seriously
Cyberbullying doesn’t stop at the school gates. If a child seems tired, distracted, or upset after being online, encourage them to talk and remind them of online safety tools.

5. Act early and follow up
If your instincts tell you something isn’t right - act. Record, report, and reassure. Checking back in can make a lasting difference.

At Opogo Education, what you see is what you pay.

No hidden markups. No mystery margins.

Every booking shows exactly what your educator earns and what our service fee is - giving schools full visibility and educators the fair pay they deserve.

Say goodbye to inflated agency costs and hello to honesty in education recruitment.
