Created by Jeannie Johnstone from our BA (Hons) Technical Arts for Theatre and Screen course, this project reflects her passion for creating hyper-realistic animals, plants and insects.
Her final showcase focuses on a hyper-realistic baby deer in a childlike domestic setting, where insect life has taken hold and plant growth has begun to reclaim the space. ๐ฆ

Step into a world of myth, movement and costume โจ
Join first-year students from Wimbledon College of Arts at Wimbledon Library for Kaleidoscope of Stories: Costume inspired by East & South Asian Folklore, an imaginative live performance inspired by folk tales from across South and East Asia.
Drawing on stories including Rama and Sita, The Legend of the White Snake and The Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea, students have created original costumes exploring colour, textile design, silhouette and storytelling through performance.

How do you discover you're this talented? ๐ณ
We're spotlighting some of the student work you'll see at our Undergraduate Summer Show. This incredible work is made by Mili Beagley, a student from our BA (Hons) Technical Arts for Theatre and Screen course. She specialises in in prosthetic makeup effects and special effects body props for the film and tv industry.
Explaining her work in more detail, she said "My piece is titled โThe Changelingโ. It depicts a woman holding a baby with elf like ears that have been cut off to appear more human. This work calls for greater recognition of how neurodivergence. I like to use a lot of traditional moulding and casting techniques in my work, but Iโve also started learning to incorporate some small digital parts into the workflow. The body form for the woman was 3D printed."
