Anthropologist Biao Xiang and architect Andong Lu will discuss changing mobilities, urbanities and social codes in Chinese society in light of the Covid-19 crisis, together dissecting contagion and confinement. An exciting lecture from Field Office, Taiwan at the AA next Thursday 17 Oct, to discuss an alternative form of architectural practice that is 'Living with the Sky, Water and Mountains'.
This is part of the New Canonical Histories lecture series at the AA that invites architects, artists and theorists who are expanding the traditional Western canon or rewriting history from a new perspective.

This Friday afternoon at the AA - Representations/Investigations: Media in architecture, the territory and the urban, with David Burns, éva Le Roi, Maria Shéhérazade Giudici, Hamed Khosravi, Christina Varvia, Clara Oloriz, Xristina Argyros and Jingru Cyan Cheng.
Cyan will share her experiences in making one single scroll as a synthesis of her PhD by Design thesis. The talk is entitled Structured Ambiguity: Structured Ambiguity: Scroll Drawing as a Synthesis of Research.
