Solidarity, Oral History and Archives : amplifying the experiences of displacement and solidarity in exile

Learn more about our participatory archiving work with the Living Refugee Archive project and community archiving with the El Piquete de Londres: 503 Days in Photographs project.

This workshop explores how archives and archival work can help to build and preserve solidarity with displaced communities, especially refugees, and is run in collaboration with the Living Refugee Archive, sponsored by a Workshop Grant by the Royal Historical Society and Small Research Fund by the Centre for Research on Migration, Refugees and Belonging at the University of East London.

There is still time to register for our London Festival of Architecture event on Wednesday (3rd June) on the topic of "The Olympic Stadium as Home: Architecture, Memory and Belonging."

Our event foregrounds the notions of belonging within an archetectural context bringing together renowned speakers Geraint John with John Gold and Margaret Gold.

The event is co-organised by the Olympic Studies Research Centre and the Library, Archives and Learning Services, home to the British Olympic Association Archive.
