Some 🛹 students need a little more patience and care. Beatriz has progressed a lot since we started our one to one sessions and she has really benefited from riding with softer, faster wheels and looser trucks.🤘🏼

☝🏼Here at Skateboard Lessons we don’t grade, we don’t compare and we never obsess about tricks. We do like having 🛹 FUN, hanging out and sometimes sharing cake!🤘🏼
I really miss doing the free Sunday lessons with Tom (especially when we had cake!) but in the end they became a little too popular and we were taking over the bowl a little, still "Onwards And Upwards" with Skateboard Lessons @ Victoria Park, Clissold Skatepark and Beyond!!!

🛹I had a really nice morning catching up with Frikk and his Dad. I also managed to help him a little with riding the capsule, get his rock to fakies and backside roll ins!🤘🏼

☝🏼I still see a lot of new skaters riding quite decent skateboards that can’t turn properly or at all... by just upgrading the rock hard “bushings” to softer ones the decks performance will massively improve. These venom

☝🏼Some tips for myself and others relating to “Axle Stalls ‘n’ 50-50’s” 🛹
All control from back foot, keep eyes fixed on the coping, bend ya knees on approach, after lifting up your arm and shoulder twist your body around and bring your leading arm down to rest parallel with your body, while keep weight inside the bowl by looking down between legs, eventually try to avoid pointing your toe in before reentry, when kick turning back in put maximum weight on toe (on back foot) to avoid ever hanging up! Relax, Enjoy and Repeat!🤘🏼

☝🏼Another great first 🛹 lesson this morning for young Arlo. Some of these youngsters are just born to skate, Arlo picked up carving well and managed to start pumping in the bowl without any help whatsoever. I think with some more help he will be dropping in in no time.👊🏼

⭐️Wow! I saw 10 year old Mia and her father struggling a little with her brand new board so I adjusted her skateboard so it would turn better, and showed her where to
Place her feet. A little while later she asked me “Please could you help me drop in?” I explained that it was too advanced for her first day and to try rolling down a nearby hill, which she did! Anyway she asked her Dad to help her so I gave them some tips and amazingly she was dropping in 20 mins later. I have never seen anyone pick up Skating as well as this girl. 🛹
