Throughout this year, ESDEG has been listening to SEND parents across Ealing through surveys, focus groups and community engagement events to better understand the challenges families face when accessing support.

Our latest SEND Engagement Event brought together parents and carers to share their experiences navigating the SEND system. Their insights are helping to shape future resources, workshops and advocacy work designed to break down barriers for families.

Supporting families of children with SEND starts with listening.

On 19 May, ESDEG welcomed parents and carers from across Ealing to discuss SEND support, SEND reforms and local services available to families.

We were pleased to be joined by Ramandeep from who shared valuable guidance on EHCPs, education rights and accessing support. The event also helped inform ESDEG’s ongoing advocacy work and future SEND workshops designed to support parents and carers across Ealing.

Thank you to everyone who attended and shared their experiences.

What SEND topics would you like us to cover next?

What started as a weekly walk has grown into a community.

Through our walking sessions, participants have built friendships, supported each other and taken steps towards better physical and mental wellbeing.

Funded by Transport for London, this project has already engaged 80 residents from underrepresented communities, helping reduce isolation and encourage more active lifestyles.

We’re continuing every Thursday at 9am.

Recognition like this reflects the work happening every day in our community.

We’re proud to receive a Mayor’s Award, recognising our ongoing support for families and young people across Ealing.

This means a lot to our team, volunteers and partners who continue to show up and make a difference.

Thank you to everyone who is part of this journey. Ealing Council

Not every young person has somewhere safe to go after school.

We’ve created a space where they can spend time together, build confidence and try new things in a supportive environment.

We’re proud to be working with experienced youth workers and boxing instructors, helping to create sessions that are both engaging and structured.

From games and creative activities to workshops and fitness, it’s about giving young people somewhere they feel comfortable, included and part of something positive.

Fair pay shouldn’t be up for debate.

We’re proud to have been recognised with the Charity Sector Award at the London Living Wage in Ealing Awards 2026, led by the Living Wage Foundation.

Being part of the Living Wage movement means committing to fair pay, dignity at work and raising standards across our community.

Thank you to everyone who continues to stand with us and be part of this work.
