Workshop: The Sacred Geometry of Sound - Sat 20 June, 2.45pm - 6pm. London, N1.
This 3-hour workshop will explore how the harmonious intervals of music serve as a model for universal structural principles.
There is a long history of connection between music, mathematics, science and philosophy. From the ancient idea of the music of the spheres to the cosmological reflections of Kepler, Leibniz, Fludd, Newton and later thinkers such as Hans Kayser, sound and harmony have been understood not only as a musical phenomenon, but as a geometrical pattern inherent in nature. Myths across many cultures also express the concept that the universe was created by sound, and according to modern quantum field theory matter and energy fundamentally behave like vibrating waves.
The aim of this workshop is to share these ideas with a wider audience and popularize the interdisciplinary field called harmonic research or harmonics, in which the harmonious intervals of music serve as a model for universal structural principles.

Every year New Acropolis holds an annual conference for its teachers and leaders from across the world to come together in a spirit of unity. This year the meeting was held in Antigua, Guatemala.
These meetings are less about reports and statistics than about sharing experiences and insights from the five different continents. This helps us to understand the global perspective of our philosophical movement and how we can better serve the communities where we are.
A big ‘thank you’ to the volunteers of New Acropolis in Guatemala who made this possible and who gave a beautiful example of philosophy in action.

Today is International Mother Earth Day 2026 established by UNESCO in 2009 with the aim of reminding us that the individual and collective decisions of human beings have repercussions on planet Earth.
New Acropolis has been supporting this initiative for several years, promoting the valuable role philosophy has in finding practical solutions to our collective challenges and working together to bring about positive change.
Timeless wisdom reminds us that we depend on nature for our survival, and that with our power to shape our environment comes the duty to act as stewards of nature.
