After a decade in teaching she observed there were a growing number of families who had either arrived in London not knowing the British Schools System or were local residents and just embarking on their families educational journey. She found there was very little help or advice available to assist with this overwhelming process. School Placement

Finding the right school for a child in London can be both daunting and challenging for any parent as the competition can appear alarming. IW Schooling Consultants meet with every family to establish their exact needs and requirements in a school. We take the pressure off parents by supporting them through this intimidating process. IW Schooling Consultants offer expert impartial advice on London Schools, the best way to navigate the registration procedure and all other aspects relating to a child’s education. Our job does not end until the child is happy and settled in their school. Assessment

With our educational background IW Schooling Consultants can carry out a full academic assessment of the child to establish their learning strategies and ensure they are matched to a school that supports their techniques. This can also flag any gaps in a child's knowledge in order that they can be addressed before they visit potential schools for assessment. Tutoring

A little extra input is often all a child needs to boost their confidence and achieve their goals. IW Schooling Consultants will match one of their dedicated trained tutors who will work closely with parents and teachers to ensure the child is supported in all their educational needs and is able to move forward in their education with the assurance that all difficulties have been addressed. Interview Preparation

All independent schools require children to go through some sort of assessment and interview procedure when applying for a place. For many this can be an overwhelming experience. IW Schooling Consultants do not coach children in what to say but provide the opportunity to practice assessments and interviews so that when visiting their chosen school they are able to present themselves articulately and with confidence as they feel prepared and assured. Many of our clients come to us looking for their child to change school. This can be such a stressful time for families as the next choice of school needs to be the right one to avoid any more disruption. We are always careful to make sure that parents are as informed as they can be to make the best decision. below is a testimonial from some lovely clients we helped recently.

Half way through the first term of a school, we decided we really wanted to send our daughter to an independent school. We really had no idea which schools were out there and how one would even start approaching them.
Isobel came to the rescue! Armed with information based on some simple questions she had put to us before our first meeting, she talked us through the list of schools that would best meet our needs.
During our meeting, she then further worked out what kind of people we were and pointed us to schools which would not only suit our daughter but would fit in with our lives and world views. Isobel also helped us with crucial tips on how to approach the schools.
All of this was done with professionalism and humour, which really made a huge difference.
We ended up with a wish list, and after contacting the schools and meeting them, we made our choice and were offered a place in the school we were hoping for.
We are absolutely delighted, and look forward to the start of the new term with our daughter in the perfect environment for her and us.

Some lovely feedback from a wonderful family.
From the outset Isobel hit the mark. Utterly unflappable, systematic, well paced and yet flexible and warm. Isobel has a deft hand with both the reluctant student and the anxious parent. She knows how and when to make class fun. And she isn't afraid to highlight disappointing work when her pupils fail to try their best. She was always transparent and a strong communicator.

As a working parent I found Isobel a godsend. She went above and beyond to work around our commitments and enable tutoring when I wasn't available. I always felt we were getting value for money, with someone who's priority was equipping our son for success, rather than earning a salary. Isobel's style is relaxed, nurturing and effective. She quickly deciphers her pupils and taps into what makes them tick, whilst building skills and confidence, particularly where a child is weakest.

Over the course of the early weeks Isobel recommended several schools that she thought would appeal to our son and our values. She hit the nail on the head with one of her recommendations becoming our first choice. With Isobel's support and dedication our son achieved his goal and had the luxury of turning down a number of other offers. We will definitely bring repeat business with our second child when his turn comes.

One of our favourite local schools, Parsons Green Prep, has appointed a new permanent head ( statement below) . We have always felt the PGP is a school that has really got the balance right between letting children be children but also enabling them to achieve their highest potential. If you are looking for a school in the area we highly recommend it!

Tim Cannell, formerly head at The Prebendal School in Chichester, West Sussex, since 2005, has been appointed the permanent headmaster at Parsons Green Prep in Fulham, London. Tim started at PGP in September 2017 and was covering Mrs Helen Stavert’s maternity leave.
