Many of us may not realise that those in the emergency services work tirelessly during the holiday season to keep people safe. recognises those dedicated workers, giving them an opportunity to be thanked for their services and celebrate Christmas their own way.

National Salesperson Day is observed on the second Friday in December. This day honours the value and dedication of the professional salesperson as well as the hard work that they perform. A good salesperson is knowledgeable about his or her product. When you have a question, if he doesn’t have an answer, he will know who does. A salesperson may work locally in a shop on her feet all day or travel several hundred miles a day to see customers and vendors. When a new product becomes available every salesperson selling the product will be studying so they can keep the customer informed.

With longer nights drawing in and Christmas getting ever closer, it’s a perfect time to celebrate with a scrummy hot chocolate. We personally agree with American Founding Father & President Jefferson and also recommend Hotel Chocolat's own!

Today is St. Nicholas Day and did you know that the legendary figure of St. Nicholas is derived from Nicholas of Myra who officiated as a bishop in 4th century Greece? During his lifetime he developed a reputation for gift-giving by putting coins in other people's shoes, which accounts for many of today's Christmas traditions that involve leaving gifts in shoes or boots.
