We Are Back!

What a way to kick off my tours for 2024. Thank you to this incredible group for bringing the spirit of learning to the educational experience.

It was such an honour and a pleasure in guiding a new set of attendees for the City Of London: Slave Trade Money Trail Tour.

This year August marks 5 years since we brought this excursion to the masses. Every year, we get to meet incredible minds, and collectively, we can say that having a space for discussions on history builds a unison of kindred spirits.

This group has ethnicities connected to Barbados 🇧🇧, Ireland 🇮🇪 Jamaica 🇯🇲, Nigeria 🇳🇬 , St. Lucia 🇱🇨 and Uganda 🇺🇬.

City of London: Slave Trade Money Trail Tour Black History Month special is over.

Thank you to the 21 guests who made the final day so special. This incredible group has roots that span across the USA, Africa, Europe, and Asia.

We are overwhelmed by the amazing people I have met this month. To be able to bring people together to discuss history on a wider perspective is a blessing. We can't stress enough how much we can all grow together by sharing thoughts and ideas.

The most heated tour to date.

A lot was discussed, and personal thoughts were shared, including our CEO and tour guide .blake being told he "𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱𝗻'𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝘂𝘅𝘂𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝘀 𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗮 𝘀𝗹𝗮𝘃𝗲." Another expression (whilst on a Slave Trade Tour) was that they "𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻'𝘁 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲."

Despite this, it was a good conversation, and sometimes, a difference of opinions is needed as a reminder that there are some people who will protect racist ideology until the end.

This team of thinkers have roots and nationalities connected to France 🇫🇷, Guinea 🇬🇳, Hungary 🇭🇺, India 🇮🇳, Jamaica 🇯🇲, Liechtenstein 🇱🇮 and Malaysia 🇲🇾

The debates amongst the attendees lead to emotions being high, which left us all thinking that more teachings of true history need to be done at an earlier age.

This team of thought provokers have roots connected to Australia 🇦🇺, Dominica 🇩🇲, Germany 🇩🇪, Ghana 🇬🇭, Jamaica 🇯🇲, Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 and the USA 🇺🇸.

The discussions amongst the attendees led to tour over time, of which we spent a whopping 𝟰+ 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 conversing perspectives and sharing cognitive understandings about colonialism.

What an amazing tour!

Thank you to this amazing group for an energetic learning experience. This group had roots connected to Belgium 🇧🇪, Ethiopa 🇪🇹, Jamaica 🇯🇲, Nigeria 🇳🇬, Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿, South Africa 🇿🇦, Spain 🇪🇸, and St. Lucia 🇱🇨

The more conversations that happen around British colonialism, the more we realise the impact England has had across the globe.

The past 500 years have brought some of the most disturbing treatment of human lives in history. The national curriculum points to national heroes, but the truth points towards the racist, classist, misogynistic mindset that plagued Britain into being the most deadliest criminal in modern history.

It was a pleasure bringing the UK Black experience to light and discussing truth behind the monarchy. Whilst the conversation of Critical Race Theory is currently potent, we think it's important to highlight the global contrast of oppressed and suppressed power. From the large Black population in America's to the small population in the island of St. Helena, the British has created a hierarchy of privilege as a result of the abolition of the biggest crime in human history.

NannyCON is an international conference that focuses on professional development and self care for Nannies and Childcare workers. The conference features yoga and mindfulness sessions, panel discussions, and high-quality training workshops and seminars from experts in the field. Their goal is to educate, inspire, and inform attendees with new learning resources, ideas, and activities, as well as self-care practices.
