Sharing these kakapo that I made - this is a special year because there’s a bumper crop of rimu fruit which they are extremely partial to. They have been breeding successfully in 2026 and there are now over 100 kakapo chicks being raised in their burrows in the undergrowth on certain islands off New Zealand. I 💚 these nocturnal flightless parrots which were on the brink of extinction a few years ago. 🥰

This cat will be coming to the Winter Market Place this weekend: s/he can be hung on a wall indoors or outdoors 😸
