As the only GFE college in London to be an accredited Centre for Excellence in Maths (CfEM), it was great to host, in partnership with Greater Brighton Metropolitan College, the first of three conference and networking events at our East Ham Campus.
The first conference event focused on raising motivation and engagement in maths. We are very grateful to Dr Thomas Hunt, University of Derby and Sue Johnston-Wilder, University of Warwick, for sharing their time and expertise in leading key sessions.
We look forward to hosting the next CfEM event this Friday, The FE Maths Challenge Final.

We've replaced our logo with a rainbow version to show our commitment to equality and diversity. The new logo is now at the main entrance of the Stratford and East Ham campuses.

London Borough of Newham councillor Steve Brayshaw joined the Chair of Newham College’s LGTB Committee, Olivia Besly and the College’s Principal and Chief Executive, Paul Stephen to unveil the logo, which will remain in place throughout February.
